JD Ranch

Meet David Fazio, the farmer who grew the potatoes in your bag.

Home Grown

For David Fazio, owner of JD Ranch on Sauvie Island in Oregon, it was driving tractors as a kid that got him interested in farming. We’re glad it did. A third-generation farmer, his family has been growing potatoes for nearly a century on a 2,000 acre farm just 100 miles from Kettle Brand’s flagship facility in Salem, Oregon.

David works on his grandfather’s farm with his three sons. When they’re not busy plucking potatoes from the earth for us to make into Kettle Brand Chips, they also teach local school kids the importance of modern agriculture and where their food comes from.
